The 'Ochres' by bike

Discover a colourful cycle route that takes you through the heart of the 'Ochre villages' between Rustrel, Villars, Gargas and Roussillon, in Provence's Luberon.

This is an easy ride along picturesque and little-used country roads. The route takes you through some of the most beautiful scenery and remarkable villages in the Luberon Regional Nature Park.

Playing on this land of substances and colours, the light creates different contrasts at different times of year, but the ochre deposits of Vaucluse are always one of nature's most awe-inspiring works.

You can't help but surrender to magical beauty of this place!

Various other routes that intersect with this one let you shorten your ride if you wish. The short loop covers a distance of 15 kilometres.

On this itinerary, you will be riding along roads that take you close to the ochre deposits. However, you will not be riding on the ochre trails.
