At the edge of the sand

Denis Brihat, winner of the 3rd Niepce Prize in 1957, is a photographer based in Provence and internationally celebrated, who dedicated his work to magnifying nature.
The particularity of Denis Brihat's work lies in particular in the technique he uses to make his “photographic paintings”. Each of his photographs requires at least a week of work, sometimes several, to achieve this subtle and profound palette. The emotional power that emanates from it is the result of its aesthetic requirement whose rendering is unparalleled. It is steeped in classical music, which offers themes and variations, that he dealt with certain subjects.
The 'Retour de Voyage' gallery offers you an exhibition on the theme of sand, whose beauty it reveals and shows its infinite richness.
