A story, a journey

In 1973 Paul Dubrule, co-founder of the Accor group, fell under the spell of a Provençal country house, La Cavale, and the beauty of the Luberon. In 1986, he embarked on the wine adventure with the creation of his estate in Cucuron, which he naturally named: La Cavale. His term as senator, between 2005 and 2009, marked a new turning point: the creation of an exceptional winery designed by Jean-Michel Wilmotte, which today makes it a unique place for wine and living in the Luberon.

La Cavale is continuing its change with the organic certification of its wines in 2020. This project is led by Thierry Mueth, Paul Dubrule's son-in-law, who wants to pass on a better future to future generations.

Organic wines/olive oils:

La Cavale is above all an anchor in its native land that is Luberon with:
- 36 hectares of vineyards and organic wines that come in several ranges and colors:
• Petite Cavale in white, red and rosé. It is an ideal cuvée for aperitifs and simple everyday dishes.
• La Cavale in white and red, wines with more substance and structure, perfect to accompany more elaborate dishes.
• Grande Cavale in red, vinified only in the best years, it is an ample and complex wine that enhances the most refined dishes.
• WHITE in white, micro cuvée that marks the organic certification. Drawn from a limited number of bottles, this cuvée marks the quintessence of what our white wine region can produce.
700 olive trees including the Salonenque, Aglandau and Picholine varieties give 3 oils with very particular typicity.

The 500m² shop highlights local producers and has a selection of wines and spirits from around the world. Take the time to stroll around.

Visit:

On reservation, we offer you the opportunity to discover our winemaking and aging cellar. During this visit, you will be immersed in the work of our cellar master. It is an initiatory journey that ends with the tasting of our complete range of wines.

Tasting:

The wine tasting is offered to you, it is available without reservation. We will explain to you the differences between the ranges, according to their blends and breeding.

Terrace:

As an extension of the shop, in the heart of Luberon, La Cavale has an open terrace in a green setting. It is your ideal summer stopover!
You can come and have a glass of wine and why not enhance it with sweet or savory local specialties, lulled by the soft sound of the cicadas.
On Thursday evenings, musicians take over the terrace for a guaranteed festive atmosphere, accompanied by foodtrucks that concoct homemade cuisine with quality products.

Interactive workshops:

In order to extend the La Cavale experience, we offer interactive workshops:
• Wines and chocolates: Between bitterness and sweetness for chocolate, between tannins and freshness for wine, we will reveal to you the secrets of combining them.
• Introduction to wine tasting: So that wine no longer has any secrets for you, we will teach you what is behind the caudalies, the disc or even the color.
