Discover the Clos du Calvaire, a family estate using organic farming in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, between tastings, visits and wine tourism.
For over a hundred years, Clos du Calvaire has been cultivating the art of wine in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. A family estate where land, biodiversity and know-how combine to offer a true wine tourism experience.
Founded in 1923, Clos du Calvaire perpetuates a winemaking tradition passed on from generation to generation. Today run by the Roumieux family, the estate continues its commitment to viticulture that respects its environment and the identity of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape terroirs.
Located in the south of the appellation, the vineyard extends over thirty hectares cultivated using organic farming. Each plot is worked with respect for natural balances in order to promote biodiversity and to best express the characteristics of grape varieties and soils.
Le Clos du Calvaire is developing an agroecological approach that places living beings at the center of its practices. This philosophy is reflected in the development of cuvees that reflect the richness and diversity of the terroirs of the appellation.
Visitors discover wines from the prestigious Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Côtes du Rhône appellations, made with high standards and passion. The estate favors a sincere approach to wine, where the expression of the land guides each stage of production.

Open to amateurs and connoisseurs alike, the estate offers an immersion in the world of vines and wine. The cellar, the wine-making cellar and the aging areas make it possible to better understand the work of the winegrower and the specificities of the estate's wines.
Tastings and guided tours offer an opportunity to discover family history, organic farming methods and different cuvees in an authentic setting, as close as possible to the vineyards of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
