Antiques Arts & You, the international fair of antiques and flea market in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue turns the city into a huge open air art market.
The first antique fair on August 15, 1966 was a great success thanks to the initiators Albert Gassier, René Légier and their wives. 14 exhibitors participated with furniture and art objects exhibited on the Island in the middle of an arm of Sorgue.
The L'Isle-sur-La Sorgue fair is more important than that of Saint-Ouen and ranks 2nd after the very famous London Fair.
L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is the 3rd place in Europe for the trade of antiques and flea markets, it welcomes chineurs from all over the world at its annual fairs.
200 exhibitors from France and Europe and 250 boutiques of antiques, art and decoration of the city display their most beautiful objects and finds in the Gautier Park, on the quays of the Sorgue, in the villages of antique shops and in the streets.
Experts are available to professionals and hunters to inform them about the origin and authenticity of the objects presented at the fair.
This event welcomes more than 100,000 visitors during each edition, including many foreign visitors.
