Some say they saw René Char and his friend Albert Camus drinking an aperitif together. From artists to intellectuals to travelers from all over the world, everyone has found refuge in this place full of authenticity and fun.
In 1972 the famous photographer Willy Ronis moved to L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue in a house near the Place de la Collègiale. He will take a photo of the Café de France which went around the world.
