Object of the month: Mother and Child

On Mother's Day, Isle sur la Sorgue Tourisme invites you to discover one of the creations of the artist Liselotte Andersen, entitled “Mother and Child”.

Every month, we take you to the heart of antique dealers and artists in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue in search of authentic objects and works of art.

The mother and the child

'Mother and child', a unique relationship, represented as a spiral of life, a nod to the shape of our DNA structure. Made of phtalo blue semi-patinated bronze.

'My sculptures with refined shapes, where energy plays a preponderant role, come to take a look and a proposal on the theme of living together. Love and harmony are recurrent expressions of the culture of peace and non-violence that are dear to me. '

Bronze & earth sculptor since 1991 and of Franco-Danish origin, Liselotte Andersen decided to settle in Provence in 2002 after traveling to Africa, Denmark, Central Asia and Paris.

Self-taught, but always in search of improving her technique, she worked alongside many master artists who opened their studio to her, before studying for 4 years at the École Supérieure d'Art d'Aix-en-Provence.

The diversity of cultures she encounters, as she travels, transcends in her bronze works where she plays with the rhythm of clean lines and the vibration of reliefs.

You can come and admire his works from Thursday to Monday at the Nouvel VAG showroom of the Antiquaires de la Gare, 2 Avenue de l'Égalité.

Also find the object of the month of April: “Tribute to L'Isle” by Olivier Talon.
