Spring is often synonymous with renewal! Well, it's an understatement to say about the Campredon Art Center, now renamed: Campredon art & image!
This former mansion, built at the request of Charles-Joseph Donadeï in the 18th century, is an emblem of L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue and a popular place to live by the inhabitants of the city. Since 1984, it has welcomed the public to discover numerous exhibitions of modern and contemporary art. Today, like many art centers in France, Campredon is going through a period of change and faces new challenges: digital transition, health crisis, new public expectations. These are all signs that call for the presentation of a modern cultural project adapted to contemporary issues, now called Campredon art & image.
The occasion of his next exhibition, (Zéro) Gravité, is also the occasion of the unveiling of his new cultural project. Campredon art & image will now present a single annual thematic and group exhibition of several artists from various worlds over the period from April to October. A true multidisciplinary approach and a mix of artistic resources will add to the richness of this “new” place. A new type of exhibition space thanks to digital technologies through the Image: photography, video, cinema, digital art and visual arts: plastic arts, immersive art, design, textile art, architecture...
New concept and new brand image in the era of time! We are 100% committed!
Around the theme (ZERO) GRAVITY, twenty-one artists are taking over the new exhibition space from 8 April to 8 October 2023, for an invitation to suspend time, to experience an exceptional moment between earth and sky, in a floating world, in suspense (or suspension), a disconnection between two worlds in motion, made of fleeting, unusual, poetic visions... Because it is indeed weightlessness that this is, which challenges, seduces, intrigues... A vast field from which the themes and the path of scenography emerged. The discovery of a floating world, in which the vibration of the elements contributes to unveiling another perception, the art for lever; the one that lightens us, makes us dream, transports us somewhere between the cosmos and (Zero) Gravity.
