Discover La Crémade's workshop and know-how to witness the making of the santons that may adorn your crib to celebrate the magic of Christmas with the family.
At the time of writing, we don't really know how this holiday is going to take place.
And what a year!
Oh, the magic of Christmas will work and if it doesn't work miracles, it will at least warm our hearts to all.
In the meantime, we can already start taking out our most beautiful Christmas decorations and why not start, creating at home its own fashionable Provencal crib. It's fine, we have time to spend at home (it's not like it was imposed) and we have the right address to share with you to find your health.
If you do not yet know the workshop of the Santonnier de la Crémade, it may soon be an opportunity to go for a walk in the charming village of Saumane-de-Vaucluse.
Go forward and enjoy the decor: it's a unique place of a kind.
It has been over 85 years since we have been making santons here: a family story of passionate and exciting. Magali, the artist of the house shares his secrets of manufacturing and guides you through the property to discover among others, their articulated monumental crib.
Every year she honors a small village in Provence and this year, we do not change the good habits. Only surprise!
This year, the Provencal village is for the first time imaginary. As tradition wants, the nursery will be visible for 40 days from December 25 to February 2, 2021.
A nice visit to make with your family and that will please both young and old.
A little plus of the tour: before or after the Crémade, take the time to take a walk in the hilltop village of Saumane-de-Vaucluse which offers a magnificent panorama!
Finally, on the advice of my grandfather Raymond, Provencal 'pure strain ': do not forget the character of 'Lou Ravi 'the one who marvels at everything, the bowling for the petanque parties and the pastis on the bistro table.
Take care of yourself, to a good time!
