A weekend of sensations for Ascension!

For this month of May, on the occasion of the Ascension Bridge, Isle sur la Sorgue Tourisme has put together a small program of 4 days to live with your family on our territory.

On Thursday morning

We look forward to seeing you at the Thouzon Caves in Le Thor.

For nearly 45 minutes a guide will take you to discover this jewel of Provence.
Enjoy a true journey through time in these caves discovered in 1902 where all kinds of concretions were formed for more than 60 million years: stalactites, stalagmites, draperies, cave pearls and many others...

At noon, it's a picnic!

Not far from the caves are the remains of an old fortified monastery: the Château de Thouzon.
Easily accessible from the village, on foot or by car (a car park is located below the hill), take a break at the top to appreciate the magnificent panoramic view of Mont Ventoux and the Monts de Vaucluse.

Take the opportunity to take a picnic break on the various facilities on site, a little moment of respite that will be appreciated by all!

In the afternoon, head to the Cedar Forest of Cabrières d'Avignon, several activities await you on site.

If you want to get active, a health trail is available on site. You will find more than twenty warm-up, strength training and recovery workshops.
As a family, you will undoubtedly enjoy the magnificent 3 km botanical trail where you can explore and discover all together the diversity of fauna and flora that make up this forest where calm and serenity are the watchwords.

Good to know: you can even have a picnic on site if you wish, tables are provided for this purpose and can be reserved.

Friday

On Friday morning continue to enjoy nature by going to the tree-climbing “Passerelles des Cîmes”, not far from Fontaine-de-Vaucluse.

In the heart of the pine forest, you can enjoy various activities (zip lines, exploration, treasure hunt) and routes to practice with your family!

At lunchtime, you can decide to stay there to have a picnic while enjoying the snacks on site, but you can also go to one of the restaurants in Fontaine-de-Vaucluse where you will spend your afternoon.

For activities, it's up to you!

If you want to relax, then we invite you to visit the authentic village of Fontaine-de-Vaucluse and its mythical abyss, it is here that the Sorgue draws its water.
You can also decide to explore the village in a more fun way by taking part in the life-size escape game Mission Boucle Or, mixing treasure hunts and discovering the place.

Also worth discovering is the Vallis Clausa paper mill, where you can follow the process of making rag paper with the traditional techniques used in the 15th century.

Saturday

On Saturday morning, go to recharge your batteries at Parc des Estourans in Le Thor.

Located between two arms of the Sorgue, this large green space is the ideal place to get together with your family and have a good time!
