Les Ateliers de Pernes

Les Ateliers de Pernes offers you a real tour/stroll on the theme of crafts, in the heart of the city of Pernes-les-Fontaines, labeled “City and Crafts”.

Artisanal trades that are diverse and rich in their know-how.

Go through the doors of the workshops to exchange with the artisans: ceramic artists, seamstresses, painters, glass spinners, watchmakers, jewelers, engravers, marquetry artists, textile designers, potters, potters, wire sculptors, wire sculptors, designers, sculptors, wood carvers, gilders, furniture designers, painters, etc...

To highlight the twenty artisans who live in the village all year round, a walking tour is drawn up. Suns on the ground allow you to follow all the workshops in the heart of the old city.

The Association:

It was in 2017 that the association Les Ateliers de Pernes was created by some artisans from the village of Pernes-les-Fontaines, in collaboration with the City Hall and the Tourist Office.

The objective: To promote art and crafts, which are very present in this town, which is labelled “Arts and Crafts” city. A walking tour was drawn up and inaugurated in 2019, during the European Arts Crafts Days (JEMA). The wealth of know-how that make up this course makes it possible to promote a great diversity of craft trades, from the creation to the restoration of works of art.

Initiatives and events are regularly organized to introduce visitors to these different skills and to highlight the artisanal wealth of the city of Pernes-les-Fontaines.
