The Campredon Art Centre in L'Isle sur la Sorgue is a museum that welcomes renowned artists and values art in all its forms: sculpture, photography, painting.
Located along an arm of the Sorgue, in the heart of the city of L'Isle-sur-Sorgue, the Campredon Art Centre is a popular place for lovers of modern and contemporary art. Spread over two floors, its showrooms promote immersion in the imagination of the artists in the spotlight. Thanks to high quality international programming, the centre is one of the must-see events in the region's cultural life.
The Donadeï Hotel in Campredon, designed by Esprit Joseph Brun, was erected in 1746. In 1865 it was sold by the Marquis de Lespine to the Sisters of Saint-Charles. Owned by the municipality of L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue since 1978, it has been home to a Centre for Contemporary Art since 2003. The building has undergone a remarkable restoration. It has a beautiful courtyard decorated in trompe l'oeil, decorated with an elegant dolphin fountain.
Throughout the year, the Campredon Art Centre hosts temporary exhibitions dedicated to renowned artists. It also has a bookstore and a room dedicated to conferences and screenings of films accompanying the exhibitions.
