JO.L Sculpture workshop

The Jo.L sculptures workshop is a unique place located in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, dedicated to the manufacture of hand-modelled sandstone sculptures. This workshop is a real sanctuary for art lovers and lovers of unique pieces. Modeling courses and courses are also offered all year round (see below)

Born in 1968 in Colmar in Alsace, Joëlle Ruillier moved to Provence in 2007.
She opened her workshop in Pernes-les-Fontaines in March 2019 and transferred it to L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue in August 2023.
A graduate in Decoration and Floristry, she was introduced to sculpture at the IEAC (European Institute of Ceramic Arts) before perfecting her skills with a ceramic artist and practicing Raku with her.
With all this experience, she is now working with black or white sandstone, more or less chamotted, to find, through her various sculptures, earth as a material, without necessarily a finishing coat, to better reveal their grain, volumes, light and to give life to sculptures, decidedly more raw and authentic. Modeled by hand, they are unique pieces.

Périodes d'ouverture

From 05/01 to 31/12/2026 on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday between 11 am and 6 pm. On Sunday between 11 am and 2 pm. Closed on Monday and Tuesday.

Modeling courses and courses:

Do you have a creative mind, do you want to discover the pleasure of modeling, acquire the skills to work with clay or simply apply and deepen your knowledge? No imposed subject: come up with your idea and you will be accompanied on your project to finalize a sculpture in a friendly atmosphere and a warm space.

Price: €50 per 3-hour session, à la carte, with no commitment for the year (Equipment and soil provided, cooking at an additional cost).
