The Alpilles

In the very heartland of Provence, between Luberon and Camargue, the vineyards, olive groves and garrigue scrubland of the Alpilles offer so much to explore.

The Alpilles Regional Nature Park covers an area of 50,000 hectares between Tarascon and Orgon, encompassing territory in 16 communes. Between Camargue and the Luberon, there can be no mistaking its Provençal identity.

In this proud, wild land, the white of the limestone rocks contrasts strikingly with the deep blue of the sky, while the best slopes are covered with robust vines and olive trees.

The Alpilles is a patchwork of different natural settings: garrigue scrubland, forests, cliffs, swamps and crops.

Explore the magnificent scenery, monuments and villages of the Alpilles on foot, by bike or by car.
