A 50-minute drive will bring you to the Mont Ventoux, a must-see site during your stay. The Giant of Provence lays down the gauntlet to cyclists but this is also a wonderful spot for hikers and nature lovers.
Just a few kilometres from L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, the Mont Ventoux has a host of surprises in store for you! You'll find activities galore here at any time of year.
The legendary Mont Ventoux, which rises to a height of 1,912 metres, is revered by poets, feared by cyclists and acclaimed as a prime observation site by scientists. The Giant of Provence and its majestic profile impress and fascinate all who lay eyes on it.
There are lots of ways to explore this magnificent natural environment: on foot, on horseback, by bike or even by car.
Created in 2020, the Ventoux Regional Nature Park protects outstanding landscapes and biodiversity, to the extent that UNESCO has already designated it a Biosphere Reserve. Aficionados of activities in the great outdoors are spoiled for choice here. Once you cross the five stages of vegetation, from Mediterranean to alpine, a lunar landscape awaits you at the summit. The park is also home to over 120 species of birds and large mammals (boar, chamois, mouflons and more).
The Ventoux Park: take a deep breath; you are on the roof of Provence.
